Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our culinary team. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals while adhering to food safety standards and ensuring a clean and organized kitchen.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
- Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients.
- Ensure proper food handling practices are followed to maintain food safety and hygiene.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
- Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation or cooking in a restaurant setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the food industry.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow recipes accurately.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
